About Newman’s Auto Body & Repair

A Family-Owned Collision Repair Shop in Olathe, KS

When your vehicle has been damaged, you are not just choosing a repair shop. You are choosing the people you trust to guide you through a stressful situation and repair your vehicle the right way.
At Newman’s Auto Body & Repair, we believe that matters.
As a family-owned business in Olathe, KS, Newman’s was built to give people something better than a generic repair experience. We want you to feel like you are working with real people who care about the outcome, communicate clearly, and take the repair seriously from start to finish.
That is what this business has been built around from the beginning.

How Newman’s Started

Newman’s Auto Body & Repair did not begin as a big, established operation. It was built from the ground up.
Zack Newman’s path into the collision industry was shaped early by his exposure to the business through his dad, who managed a dealership body shop. That gave him an early look at how collision repair worked, how dealerships and repair shops connected, and how much trust matters in this business.
But Zack did not take the usual path into ownership.
He did not step directly into an existing shop, and he did not begin by simply working through a traditional technician track. Instead, his background came through the paint and automotive jobber side of the industry. He worked around shops, learned how products and repair materials were used, and built a broader understanding of how the business worked from both the technical and operational sides.
Over time, that hands-on learning turned into side projects, bigger jobs, and eventually the foundation for something more.
That something became Newman’s.

Built With Steady Growth and a Better Way of Doing Things

Newman’s Auto Body & Repair officially opened in 2013. It started small, with a much simpler operation than what it is today.
What makes the Newman’s story meaningful is not just that it grew. It is how it grew.
This business was not built around chasing volume at any cost. It was built through steady growth, practical experience, and a clear belief that customers deserve quality repairs and clear guidance through the process. Over time, Newman’s expanded from a small team into a two-location collision repair business serving Olathe and nearby communities.
That steady growth matters because it says something about the way the company operates.
Newman’s has grown with intention. The goal has not been to become the biggest name in the market by rushing cars through the lot. The goal has been to build a business that runs well, treats customers honestly, and handles repairs with care.
That mindset still shapes the business today.

Why Newman’s Exists the Way It Does

A lot of shops can say they care about quality. What often makes the bigger difference is how they treat people while that repair is happening.
At Newman’s, one of the strongest ideas behind the business is guidance.
After an accident, many customers feel overwhelmed. They may not know what comes next, how the insurance process works, what parts decisions mean, or why certain repair steps matter. That confusion is real, and it can make an already stressful situation feel even heavier.
Newman’s was built to help with that.
We believe part of doing the job right is helping customers understand the process. That means explaining next steps clearly, answering questions honestly, and making sure people do not feel left in the dark while their vehicle is being repaired.
In other words, we do not want to just repair the vehicle. We want to help guide you through the experience around it.

Local, Family-Owned, and Built on Trust

Being family-owned is an important part of who Newman’s is, but not just because it sounds nice on a page.
It matters because it shapes the experience customers have with us.
A family-owned business should feel more accountable. More personal. More rooted in the community it serves. It should feel like the people behind the name care about how the work is done and how customers are treated.
That is the kind of trust Newman’s works to build.
We know people are not coming to us during a carefree moment. Most are coming to us after an accident, with questions, stress, and uncertainty about what happens next. They want honest answers. They want a team that communicates well. They want to know the people handling their vehicle care about the result.
That is the standard we want this page to communicate.

Meet the Team Behind Newman’s

A repair shop is only as strong as the people behind it.
At Newman’s Auto Body & Repair, the team is a big part of what makes the customer experience different. This is not just a business with a founder story. It is a shop made up of people who help customers through a difficult moment every day.
That includes the people who greet customers, write estimates, explain the process, coordinate repairs, repair damaged vehicles, handle refinishing, and help make sure the finished work meets the standard Newman’s stands for.
What ties that team together is not just job titles. It is a shared approach.
We want customers to feel informed. Respected. Taken care of. We want the process to feel clear, not confusing. We want questions to be answered, not brushed aside. And we want the repair experience to reflect the kind of care you would hope for when your own vehicle is in someone else’s hands.
That culture matters just as much as the tools in the shop.

A Team Culture Built Around

Doing the Job Right

Good culture in a collision shop is not about slogans on a wall. It is about how people work, how they communicate, and how seriously they take the trust customers place in them.

At Newman’s, that culture is built around a few core ideas:

Quality matters

We do not want repairs that only look fine from a distance. We want work handled with care, attention, and a real commitment to doing it right.

Communication matters

Customers should not feel like they are guessing their way through the repair process. Clear updates and honest conversations are part of the job.

Trust matters

Every repair starts with trust. Customers are handing over something important to them, and we take that seriously.

The customer experience matters

Repair quality is critical, but so is how people feel while the process is happening. We want customers to feel guided, respected, and confident in the team helping them.

That is the kind of team Newman’s works to build and keep.

Credibility That Supports the Story

The Newman’s story is built first on people, trust, and the way the business was built. But there is also real technical credibility behind that story.
Newman’s holds Subaru and Mazda OEM certifications and is an I-CAR Gold shop. Those credentials matter because they support the idea that this is not just a friendly local business. It is a friendly local business with meaningful training-backed credibility for modern collision repair.
For customers, that means you are not choosing between personal service and repair capability.
At Newman’s, the goal is to provide both.
That mix of family-owned care and certification-backed competence is one of the reasons customers, dealership partners, and later-model vehicle owners continue to trust Newman’s.

More Than a Repair Shop

When people visit an About page, they are often trying to answer one question:
Who are these people, really?
For Newman’s, the answer is simple.
We are a family-owned collision repair business in Olathe, KS built through steady growth, practical experience, and a commitment to helping customers through the repair process the right way. We are a team that believes quality repairs and honest guidance belong together. And we are people who understand that after an accident, trust matters just as much as technical skill.
That is the story behind Newman’s.
And that is the standard we work to live up to every day.
